Prof. Rajesh Kumble Nayak delivered an engaging session on gravitational waves, explaining how these tiny ripples in space are detected and what they reveal about black holes and other cosmic phenomena.

What Happened

Professor Rajesh Kumble Nayak taught the audience about gravitational waves. These are like tiny shakes in space caused by huge things moving. He explained how scientists use special tools to find these shakes and what they tell us about black holes and other amazing things in space. It was a really interesting talk about a new way to explore the universe!

Prof. Rajesh Kumble Nayak, a faculty member in the Department of Physical Sciences at IISER Kolkata. His research interests span gravitational wave data analysis, general relativity, and relativistic astrophysics.
